Things I Do to help have a well rounded lab puppy....

Our breeding program incorporates two puppy raising protocols, ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and the "Puppy Culture Method", for raising puppies. Starting From day one, we provide cuddling, touch, different textures, positioning, scents, sounds and temperatures. 

My puppies are continuously learning and being exposed to many things, along with socialization, to aid in their development.  We feel all these new experiences throughout their first 8 weeks helps to ensure they are well rounded and confident puppies when they leave for their forever homes. I have followed this protocol for many years with added ideas that I have come up with throughout my years of breeding.

Puppy experiences/exposures include:

• Sights

• Exposure to different surfaces

• Exposure to different challenges (climbing and balancing) 

• Played with different objects

• Exposed to different locations

• Eaten from different bowls and at different location

• Sounds (vacuums, music, lawn mowers, etc) 

• Puppy activity box

• Socialization from adults, young children and other animals 

• Water/Swimming (if pool is opened) or at least little kiddie pools

• Introduced to a light weight slip lead for walking ​​

My Puppies are trained to use a litter box but as soon as they are old enough, around 4 weeks, I start taking them outside to potty in the grass. They learn to potty on command so when they go to their new home they know what to do when they go outside. Throughout my years they have been exposed to every kind of element as they are labs and are meant to go potty outside regardless of weather.
